#Mets avoid arbitration with Ike Davis. Will pay him $3.5M in 2014.Life simply isn't fair. After a horrible 2013 campaign in which he managed a stat line of just .205/9/33, Ike Davis still managed to get a $325,000 raise for 2014. The Mets have signed Ike to a one year deal, worth $3.5 million dollars. This is actually under the $3.8 million some outlets had projected. Per my numbers, the Mets opening day payroll now rests at $82.125 million dollars.
