#Mets source says no offer on the table for Stephen Drew at this time.

Contrary to reports from earlier today, the Mets have no pending offer for free agent shortstop Stephen Drew right now, according to Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News. ESPN's Jim Bowden yesterday reported that the Red Sox had a two year offer on the table for true for an unknown sum.If the Mets still plan to get in on Stephen Drew, it seems like they're letting this get perilously close to the end. Drew, while not a superstar, is undenaibly an upgrade over last year's combination of Ruben Tejada and Omar Quintanilla manning the position.
Meanwhile, here at Effing Mets, we are asking the hard hitting questions.
Did the #Mets offer to buy Drew some salmon?
